Teaching

I teach courses in European politics and international relations at the University of New York in Prague. My teaching focuses particularly on European integration, EU economic policies, the external relations of the European Union, and the interaction between domestic and European politics.

European Integration

An undergraduate course examining the development, institutions, decision-making processes, and major policy challenges of the European Union. The course combines the study of European integration theories with analysis of the EU’s institutional and political development.

Economic Policies of the European Union

An undergraduate course examining the main economic policies of the European Union and the political and institutional processes through which they are formulated. The course covers major areas of EU economic governance and considers how European-level policies interact with national economies and domestic political choices.

External Relations of the European Union

An undergraduate course examining the European Union as an international actor. It covers the EU’s common foreign and security policy, security and defence policy, trade and development policy, enlargement, neighbourhood relations, and the broader institutional framework of EU external action.

Supervision

I supervise undergraduate research in European politics, political parties and political competition, political communication, migration, and related areas of international relations and political science.
