ActEU examined the drivers of political trust, legitimacy, and representation in European democracies during periods of crisis and political polarization. My work within the project focused particularly on Central European politics, populism, emerging political cleavages, and political representation.

I am a political scientist and Research Director at the Institute of International Relations Prague. My research examines European integration and EU governance, political parties and elections, politicisation, migration, and political communication, with particular attention to Central and Eastern Europe. A recurring theme in my work is how European and other politically contested issues interact with domestic political competition and are represented in political and media discourse. My research draws primarily on quantitative methods, complemented by qualitative approaches to political discourse and framing. I also teach European politics and international relations at the University of New York in Prague.
